WHILE last night would have been a big one for them, it will not be a case of crashing out of New Year's celebrations for the Tropical Fruits crew.

This morning they will dive into their New Year's Day Pool Party.

Following their big New Year's Eve party at Lismore Showgrounds last night, they'll be looking for some rejuvenation, in the form of chilling out and poolside revelry.

From 10am until 4pm today, Lismore Memorial Baths will be taken over by the fruity crew for a day of fun in the sun.

There will be tunes for those whose feet aren't yet danced off, with DJs Matt Vaughan and 1iSAMURAi taking to the decks.

Tropical Fruits events co-ordinator Shane Duniam said the drug, alcohol and glass-free party was looking to be "fantastic", with fun on hand for all.

"In fact," he said, "you're evicted if you're not having fun!"

He said that with their maximum capacity at 700, Tropical Fruits having already sold out of pre-party passes, it was certainly looking to be a good time for all.

Mr Duniam said when he went last year it was one of the best days of the festival for him.

"I've never seen the Lismore Memorial Baths look so pretty with lashings of gorgeousness from all over this world in this wonderful nation of ours," he said.

There will be shuttle bus services available to and from the pool during the day and after the pool shenanigans, the crew will all be back at the Showgrounds to enjoy a barbecue.

As evening falls on the Showground, the recovery party will begin, with performances from burlesque darling Diamond Lil's Cabaret and DJ Kimo, as well as DJs Jackie Onassid, LADY K, 1iSAMURAi, VONNSTAR and Kate Monroe.

Mr Duniam, on behalf of Tropical Fruits, wished Lismore a happy and prosperous New Year and hoped that next year they could continue working together to create a fun, safe and inclusive society.
