Celebrities flock to Kingscliff for fundraiser

CELEBRITIES will flood to Kingscliff next week to raise funds and awareness about autism.

4 ASD Kid, a charity run by rugby star Mat Rogers and his model wife Chloe Maxwell, will host an array of events at Salt and surrounds.

Maxwell said it was hard to pick her favourite event because they were all fabulous but if she was forced the ladies brunch was her "baby".

"It's always great fun and a lot of people dream to meet and eat with celebrities," she said.

The brunch, held on December 15, will certainly give them the chance with Wayne Cooper, Corrine Grant, Charlotte Dawson and Megan Gale all part of the star studded event.

Gale will show her latest swim suit collection in a mini fashion show.

Maxwell said there would be delicious bite sized food, champagne, beauty tips and displays, raffles, charity auctions and lucky door prizes.

A myriad of other events will take place including Mat Rogers' Celebrity Golf Classic, the Quicksilver Beach Party, Mat's Boys Day Out on the Water, 4 ASD Kids Gala in the Park, 4 ASD Kids Family Day and Salt Carols by the Beach.

"They all absolutely loved it last time," she said.

The event is in its forth year but this will be the second time it is held at Salt.

"We really love it there and the people of the Tweed have been really supportive," Maxwell said.

"It's great and anyone can come.

"I really encourage people in the Tweed to pitch in and come help us out."

The celebrity couple started the charity four years ago when they made public their son Max suffered with autism.
