GOLD Coast Airport continues to increase its traffic leading into the busy holiday period.
Queensland Airport Limited (QAL) figures released on Wednesday revealed the airport experienced double digit growth for November compared to the same period last year.
Total number of passengers at the airport in November was about 501,000 in November compared to 443,000 to the same period last year.
The number of international passengers increased considerably with almost 35% growth from about 56,000 in November 2011 to more than 75,000 last month.
"These numbers reflect the more favourable conditions being experienced by the Gold Coast destination as a whole," QAL managing director Dennis Chant said.
"Looking forward capacity into Gold Coast would indicate figures for December should be healthy," Mr Chant said.
