THE Grafton Chamber of Commerce and Industry voted in a new president and vice president at a meeting at Roches Family Hotel last night.
Add it Up Business Services owner Sandy Stewart took over the presidency from long serving president Jeremy Challacombe who stepped down because of new commitments as a Clarence Valley Councillor.
Clarence Village chief executive Phil Bellatty was voted into the VP position while Janet Ocholla (Caringa Enterprises) will fill the role of secretary and Glenn Thompson (WHK) will be treasurer.
Other members of the executive committee are Noel Smith (Low Pressure Surf Co), Chris Gough (Riverbank Animal Hospital), Sharron Daniels (CV Timber and City Centre Newsagency), Corey Bertalli (Grafton Travel) and Anita Kleyn (Newcastle Permanent).
Clarence Valley Council's representative on the committee is Cr Andrew Baker.
The Chamber extended its appreciation to Mr Challacombe and fellow executive members stepping down: Alan Masson (NAB Business Banking), Liza Bloomer (One Duke St and Yoohoo Web Design) and Greg Hayes (Grafton Shoppingworld) for their work.
Executive officer James Patterson said the new committee would meet in coming weeks at Caringa Enterprises in South Grafton.
"All chamber members are reminded that they are welcome to attend and contribute to discussions and decisions at these meetings," Mr Patterson said.
