IT'S a win win situation when scores of workers swap ergonomics for eco exercises.

But that's exactly what happened recently when 120 team members from global concreting company Holcim descended on Kingscliff to swap concreting for tree planting.

In an innovative team-building program and a bid to promote 'green' exercise. Kingscliff's team building guru, Jack Adams, held a charity event that resulted in 400 trees being planted on the Kingscliff foreshore.

"Green charity events like this give corporate teams a chance to experience the environment at a grass roots level," said Mr Adams.

"But it also gives them the opportunity to contribute to the environment while getting plenty of exercise in the process."

The team bought their trees from Kingscliff Dunecare and planted them, then donated a further $1000 to Dunecare.

With a range of fun activates that included a scavenger race, the program has the aim to build the physical, psychological and social well-being for teams within the beautiful surrounds of Salt and Kingscliff.

"It's great way to learn about the environment and contribute to its protection and regeneration in a relaxed coastal and pristine setting," Mr Adams said.
