BRENT Hall is hoping to write another successful chapter in his speedway racing career with success in Lismore this weekend.

The Alstonville driver will contest the V8 Dirt Modified Masters at the Lucas Oil Lismore Speedway. There are meetings on tonight and tomorrow night.

A host of top drivers will be drawn to Lismore to contest races across the various divisions.

Hall, who is competing for the third year in his section, said he was fired up to do well after recent successes.

"Coming from Alstonville, doing well at Lismore would mean a lot," he said.

"I got the win in Grafton and that was a dream come true.

"I loved this division as a kid but I never thought I would be on top. I thought we would just be making up the numbers.

"Now we are looking to make a mark and be a force."

A former Alstonville High School student, Hall is among a top roster contesting the section.

The 27-year-old said the input of reigning Australian champion Mark Robinson had helped contribute to his recent success.

"He has been helping us out with a few bits and pieces," he said.

"It has been mainly on things like suspension set-up for different tracks and things like that.

"It has been really helpful and made a difference.

"We have been at a lot more consistent recently, which has been good."

It will be a busy weekend for the Halls, with father and fellow driver Bruce ready to show his skills in the Wingless Sprint Car Series.

Mum, Leanne, also once drove at the track while pregnant with Brent.

"To do well in front of the home crowds would be the pinnacle," Hall junior said.

"It will be a special (event) in front of a home crowd.

"Hopefully everything will go well."

Hall thanked sponsors and everyone who was assisting him.
