THREE Brisbane Heat players will sleep particularly well if they beat the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL semi-final at Etihad Stadium tonight.

Chris Lynn, Chris Sabburg and Cameron Gannon have not had much time to rest since the Heat beat the Hurricanes in Hobart on Saturday night.

The trio were up at 4.30am on Sunday to catch a 6am flight home to Brisbane to play in the Premier Grade T20 semi-final between Toombul and Wests.

Lynn top-scored with 66 not out for Toombul, smashing a six off the final ball of the game to secure the win.

He, Sabburg and Gannon then headed back to the airport to catch an evening flight to Melbourne and re-join their Heat teammates, arriving at 11.30pm.

Paceman Ben Cutting also joined the squad yesterday after being released from the Australian ODI squad following his debut against Sri Lanka in Adelaide.

He replaces fellow paceman Matthew Gale in the 13-man Heat squad.

The Renegades will also benefit by the release of opening batsman and captain Aaron Finch from international duties.

Heat physio Martin Love expects explosive opener Luke Pomersbach to play, despite the blow to the foot he took for paceman Doug Bollinger while smashing the fastest half-century of the BBL season in Hobart.

Whoever wins tonight will play the winner of tomorrow's semi-final between the Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars.

They will also qualify for the Champions League T20 tournament in India later this year.

The Heat are the $2.15 outsiders tonight.
