THE magic of Christmas is all around and Coolangatta will show you exactly what holiday spirit is all about.

The Coolangatta Christmas Concert is back bigger than ever this year with a night full of celebration planned to keep the family amused this Sunday.

International award-winning song writer, children's author and entertainer Nadia Sunde will light up the night along with many other performers including Kacey Patrick, Michael Fix and Paul Robert Burton.

Tugun act James Park the singing barista from Groove Cafe well also take to the stage with his Pavarotti inspired opera singing.

"It should be great," Mr Park said.

Despite his enthusiasm he is a bit nervous about getting up in front of the large crowd.

"You've gotta be nervous," he said.

"Unless you're nervous you can't do a good job."

Along with Mr Park, other southern Gold Coast entertainment includes Champagne and Jason McGregor.

He will sing the classic Schubert's Ave Maria.

And to heighten the Christmas cheer there will be a visit from Santa himself.

Connecting Southern Gold Coast director of events and festivals Louise Bezzina said the event had enjoyed great popularity over the years and felt this year's talented performers would appeal to a broad cross section of the community.

"It's really a show for everyone," she said.

"Bring the whole family to enjoy the ambience of Coolangatta beachfront on dusk, with close proximity to a myriad of dining and entertainment options to enjoy pre or post concert."

The free outdoor music event will be held beachside at Queen Elizabeth Park on Sunday from 5.30pm.
