TYALGUM Festival of Classical Music will continue to bring economic benefits to the Tweed after receiving funding from a Regional Arts NSW CASP grant.

The small festival will be bringing some ordered chaos to the quiet town midway through the year thanks to the Country Arts Support Program.

Tyalgum Festival Committee received the grant of $1950, which will assist festival organisation and attract some talented musicians to the Tweed shire.

The festival committee's project is called Black and White Keys, Birds and Beams and money will help fund historical research, performances, prop creation and lighting installations.

Additionally, community donations are being accepted through the Australian Business Arts Foundation for those who'd like to lend a helping hand to the small festival.

Dennis Scanlon is a bush poet and popular member of the Tyalgum community and he thought the funding was great news.

"It's wonderful news, it's (Tyalgum Festival) something that brings a whole lot of interest to the village," he said.

Mr Scanlon was also looking forward to the economic windfall the festival would bring to Tyalgum.

"Lots of people come into the area and stay; it has a great economic benefit for a small village such as ours.

"We do it every year and we have a big influx of people into the village.

"And the standard of music is so good."

A large assortment of talented musicians and dancers made last years Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music a smash hit and this year is expected to be no different.

Festival organisers were unavailable for comment.
