New choir promises its participants an ‘experience’

LAU Guerreiro is attempting to do something in Murwillumbah that he believes is a world first.

Mr Guerreiro is attempting to create an improvisational choir.

"There is no such thing as a wrong note," he said.

"It's all about having the maximum amount of fun.

"My objective is for the choir and the audience to have an experience."

But Mr Guerreiro can not do it alone and he is looking for other people wanting to become members of what he aptly named the Fun Choir.

According to Mr Guerreiro's website, the aim of the choir was to create uplifting experiences through singing.

"Everything will be improvised but, no doubt, we'll develop some favourite "songs" and themes that we'll repeat," he said.

"Even if you've never done much singing before or you're not that good at it - that's ok because in this style of signing there is always room for people to make simple sounds and simple repetitive melodies.

"If you're an expert singer then there's room for you to do wild vocal gymnastics over the top!"

Anyone interested in joining the choir can phone Mr Guerreiro on 02 6672 4343.
