TOOT toot, chugga chugga...you in the market for a Big Red Car? The Wiggles and Volkswagen is about to auction one to raise money for charity SIDS and Kids.

The car up for auction is a Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet with a flash red paint job.

The Volkswagen Big Red Car auction will be live on eBay for 10 days from December 7, with the new owner of the car announced ahead of The Wiggles' final Sydney shows in their Celebration Tour.

It's not the same Big Red Car that has been used in stage shows or their movie feature, but one that has been used for promotional purposes and touring.

"For us as a group, the next few months are about celebrating the great times we've shared with all of Australia and it's great that together with Volkswagen, we have the opportunity to give our biggest fans the chance to own something that's so special to us - the Volkswagen Big Red Car," Blue Wiggle Anthony Field said.

"Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is a cause that's extremely close to our hearts, my neice Bernadette Field died from SIDS at the age of eight months in 1988 and so SIDS and Kids is a charity that we've proudly supported since we started out 21 years ago. It's only fitting that the money raised from this auction go directly to SIDS and Kids."

Anke Koeckler, managing director of Volkswagen Australia Group, is thrilled to be helping The Wiggles share a piece of their memorabilia with Australians.

"As the Big Red Car people we're extremely proud to be giving one lucky Australian the chance to buy such an iconic part of The Wiggles history. This auction is a great way for Volkswagen to help The Wiggles celebrate their 21 years together and raise much needed funds for SIDS and Kids," said Ms Koeckler.
