TWO tiger cubs had their first play session with one of their new larger Dreamworld family members this morning.

At just six weeks old, the latest tiger attractions at the Gold Coast theme park were full of playful energy and ready to play starring roles with visitors over the next few weeks and months.

The cubs, not formally named yet but nicknamed Anchor and Arrow by staff, were introduced to 13-year-old adoptive aunt Sita.

Dreamworld's Tiger Island manager Patrick Martin-Vegue said the first meeting went exactly as expected.

"They're doing well. They've been here for about two and a half weeks now," he said.

"They're coming out of our quarantine area now and we start doing our cub experiences tomorrow so it's a really exciting time for them.

"They are a bit different. One of them is usually a bit more in your face, a bit more forward."

Over the next few weeks members of the public will have the chance of a lifetime to get up close and personal with the young cubs with Tiger Cub Experiences starting from tomorrow

Visitors will be able to meet the cubs for a 20-minute session with the adorable fur-balls and their keepers.

These lucky guests will be able to see them play in their enclosure, pat them for a photo to take home and talk to the handlers one-on-one.

The 20-minute sessions cost $99 per person and a portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation's Tiger Island Conservation Fund.

To book in for your experience visit Dreamworld's website or phone 07 5588 1111.
