Arrest after police car damaged

KINGSCLIFF Police have arrested a man who allegedly damaged a police car after he requested their attendance on Monday night.

Police say the 23-year-old man was charged with malicious damage after he contacted police for assistance on Monday night then hurled objects at the attending officers' vehicle.

He has been released on conditional bail and will appear before Tweed Heads Local Court in May.
