TONY Brian Gillespie of Banora Point appeared at Lismore District Court yesterday on six charges relating to child pornography.

The former Fire and Rescue NSW firefighter and Bilambil Rural Fire Brigade volunteer did not enter a formal plea before Judge L Wells.

The matter has been adjourned for sentencing on July 31 and the 31-year-old remains on bail.

Mr Gillespie was arrested in November last year, after police seized two laptops and mobile phones from his home.

He admitted to Tweed Byron LAC police he downloaded and disseminated thousands of images and videos of child abuse material under the username "Tommyfun1" and "Tommyfun26".
