AUSTRALIAN Lauren Boden has missed out on making the final of the women's 400 metre hurdles at the London Olympics.

Starting in lane one, Boden was never in the hunt for a start in the final, finishing in last place after being disqualified.

Boden said despite the disappointment of missing the final she was looking forward to seeing what the future held for her career.

"Obviously not as fast as I wanted to run ... but I gave it everything I could tonight," she said.

"I cant wait to see what happens in the next four years."
