Broncos make play-offs with convincing win over Kansas City

THE Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos will feel right at home in the play-offs after the cards all fell the team's way in a dramatic final round of regular games.

The Broncos finished the season top of the AFC conference after an easy 38-3 victory over Kansas City.

That was Denver's 10th win in succession, making it the form team and ensuring a round one bye and home field advantage throughout the finals.

Houston had appeared likely to take that top spot, but a 28-16 loss to Indianapolis saw the Texans drop to third behind Denver and New England which grabbed second and a week off after thrashing Miami 28-0.

Round one of the play-offs will see Houston host Cincinatti, while Indianapolis will travel to Baltimore.

In the NFC conference, Atlanta retained top spot, home field advantage for the play-offs and a week off despite stumbling to a 22-17 home loss to Tampa Bay.

San Francisco also earned a week off after finishing second.

Round one action will see Green Bay host Minnesota, while Seattle will travel to Washington who grabbed the final play-off place by beating Dallas 28-18.
