A CRASH in Tweed Heads on Wednesday afternoon left one vehicle on its side in one of the area's busiest intersections.

The van came to rest on its side in the middle of the intersection at Boyd St and Terranora Tce one block from the Tweed Heads Police station.

Police were still on the scene investigating the cause of the roll over.
