Convicted paedophile Dennis Ferguson found dead

NOTORIOUS paedophile Dennis Ferguson has been found dead in his inner-city Sydney apartment.

News Limited reports police found the 64-year-old inside a Surry Hills apartment on Sunday afternoon.

A police spokesman said initial inquiries suggested there were no suspicious circumstances.

When contacted, NSW Police media said it would not confirm or deny the reports about Mr Ferguson's death.

Ferguson was sentenced to 14 years jail for kidnapping and sexually abusing three children in Brisbane in 1987.

The Queensland man was forced to relocate to various towns following his release from jail due to huge community backlash.

Angry residents forced the registered sex offender out of Bundaberg, Toowoomba and Ipswich.

In 2009 he relocated to Sydney.
