ASHY Bines' Clean Eating Diet Plan has been labeled one of the worst diets in the country by the Dietitians Association of Australia.

A 200-strong survey of practising dieticians named the Lemon Detox Diet and SkinnyMe Tea the first and second worst diets respectively, with Ms Bines' Gold Coast-based plan taking third place.

Ms Bines, a former Tweed resident who attended Tweed River High School, told News Limited it was extreme to compare her food guidelines to programs spruiking liquid diets.

Association dietitian and spokeswoman Melanie McGrice said fad diets were restrictive and unsustainable in the long-term

But Ms Bines maintained that her eating guidelines were reasonable and did not demonise certain foods.

The survey took into account 11 popular diets and did not refer to Bines' Bikini Body Challenge, which is an in-person program and not a diet plan.

The Facebook page for Ashy Bines' Clean Eating Diet Plan has been 'liked' by over 922,000 Facebook users.
