NSW Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner is not alone in drawing parallels between the spate of floods since 2009 and the situation in the 1950s, when a succession of floods made life a misery for farmers.

Recently Mr Stoner commented on these similarities and hoped the current tough times did not drive farmers off the land as happened in the 1950s.

We're going to talk to some local farmers and find out what they're thinking.
