Paul highlighted the great benefits offered by Google and lamented the fact it hadn't been available throughout his journalistic career.
That would have saved him from having to memorise the extension number of the Queensland Newspapers library, where staff regularly received calls from seeking assistance in checking one fact or another.
"Mr Google is our great friend," he said.
While noting it's certainly not infallible, he applauded Google's ability to assist us in checking facts quickly.
