Tweed on high alert for Johnny Depp

THERE are unconfirmed reports that Hollywood movie star Johnny Depp will be filming Pirates of the Caribbean 5 on the Tweed next week.

Hastings Point residents spotted production crews assembling a set for the film on the headland yesterday afternoon.

A wave of excitement followed on Tweed's social media groups, welcoming Mr Depp to our beautiful shire.

Signage at the film site stated crews will be filming on Monday and Tuesday.

The Tweed Daily News has approached the film's publicity team for comment.
