A KINGSCLIFF business has brought back a holiday program to get kids out into the water.

Watersports Guru owner Tim Jack Adams said the program was back after its success last year.

"We started it a year ago because the locals wanted something for the kids," Mr Adams said.

"Since then a lot of tourists have taken part.

"It's pretty popular. Parents can just drop their kids off at 9am and be back to pick them up again at 10.30am."

Mr Adams said trained and qualified staff taught all the kids about water safety while taking part in activities, such as stand-up paddle boarding.

"Stand-up paddle boarding, snorkelling with the turtles and the JAG programs are very popular with the kids," he said.

"We have the program on throughout the year but until the end of January we have it on every day."

The Junior Adventure Gurus (JAG) program is a 90-minute event that has the kids involved in activities focusing on fun and water safety.

The kids involved in the program take part in stand-up paddle boarding, fishing, snorkelling with turtles, games, creek exploration and education, ocean art, kayaking and free play.

The cost of the program is $30 a child and starts at 9am everyday during the Qld/NSW school holidays.

Anyone wanting to book can phone 0430 082 890 or visit Watersports Guru at 76 Marine Pde, Kingscliff.
