GENEROSITY can be hard to find these days but there are still kind and giving people out there.
In the lead up to the holiday season the Lions Club of Terranora Lakes donated $4090 to the Marine Rescue Point Danger.
The funds will be put towards two defibrillators.
"They will be kept on our two main rescue boats," Commander Bernie Gabriel said.
"They're extremely important for rescue operations."
Mr Gabriel said the new equipment could be the difference between life and death in an emergency situation.
"We're very grateful for the donation," he said.
"It will save lives.
"We live off the support from the community, we wouldn't exist without it."
Lions Club of Terranora Lakes secretary Stan Felsman said Marine Rescue Point Danger was a vital asset for the community.
"We have a couple of members who are up there at the Marine Rescue," he said.
"They heard we had donated the Tweed Rescue Service at the beginning of the year."
The club put on sausage sizzles, raffles and general fundraisers to come up with the cash.
"We like to raise money in the area and give back to the area," he said.
