Lions seal crazy comeback win

BRISBANE has had an incredible comeback victory over Adelaide, rebounding from 38 points down to win by 10 at the Gabba on Saturday night.

The Lions were not in the contest early, down 6.5 to three behinds at quarter-time, but the home side roared back in the final three terms to win 13.17 (95) to 12.13 (85).

The win denies Adelaide a temporary spot on top of the ladder, and may lose the Crows a home game in week one of the finals.

The Lions' Daniel Merrett told Grandstand that the win was critical for the team's self-belief.

"It's a scalp we needed, our season's been pretty disappointing," Merrett said.
