Live tweets from Ballina council meeting

THE Northern Star will tweet live from Ballina Shire Council's last ordinary meeting of 2012 scheduled to kick off at 9am.

Ballina reporter Rebecca Lollback is in the chamber observing the meeting and will provide live updates via The Star's Twitter stream, which you can view here on this page. 

Among the issues expected to be raised in the council today are: 

  • Decision about the alstonville preschool land recategorisation,
  • Consideration of a skate park for alstonville or wollongbar,
  • DA to turn an old car dealership into a funeral chapel,
  • Council considering an offer to buy land on The Coast Rd for $1 for the new Lennox RFS building.
