LAST Saturday night's Monster Truck show in Ballina attracted a monster crowd of several thousand people to Kingsford Smith Park.

The five monster trucks showed their awesome power as they lept over five cars, while motorbike stunt riders thrilled with spectacular high-flying tricks.

As the sun went down, the football oval was lit up by the after-burner of the jet van.

In the lead-up to the show, organisers visited local schools to show off the monster trucks to thrilled youngsters.
