LISMORE businesses will tomorrow morning get to meet woman who will take over from Katie O'Rourke to lead the charge in marketing the Lismore CBD.

Renee Moehead, who takes over as Lismore's city centre manager on March 8, will meet with members of the Lismore Business Promotion Panel at Lismore City Council's Magellan Street office tomorrow morning at 9.45am.

Among the plans Ms Moehead had for the CBD were a family-oriented New Year's Eve celebration and a spin-off "Message Stick" event for the Indigenous community.

Ms Moehead is a Lismore native. She studied at St Johns College, Woodlawn, but has spent the past few years working in Sydney and around the world. The council said she had worked at the Sydney Opera House for 10 years managing major shows and had worked in event management at the Arab Games at Qatar.
