Northern Rivers storm warning

NORTHERN Rivers skies have darkened and thunder is rumbling as heavy rain and wind hits the the region.

According to North Coast Storm Chasers, a big storm from the north-west is currently over Kyogle moving south-east.

"Heads up for Casino and Lismore over the next half an hour to an hour for a potentially severe storm that may contain hail, flash flooding and strong to damaging winds," storm chaser Dylan posted on Facebook.

"(There are) reports of this storm containing a green colour indicating that this storm does contain hail."

The Bureau of Meteorology is yet to issue a severe thunderstorm warning for the Northern Rivers.
