A POLICE search warrant executed on Wednesday morning has uncovered 163 hydroponic cannabis plants worth an estimated $870,000 and a replica pistol at a Casino residence.

Officers from the Richmond Local Area Command Target Action Group and the drug unit swooped on the unit complex in Small St  and conducted three simultaneous raids on three adjoining units.

A search of another unit uncovered 11 hydroponic cannabis plants and a small amount of dried cannabis.

David Justin, 44, appeared in Lismore Local court yesterday and was refused bail on charges including enhanced indoor cultivation of a plant for a commercial purpose, possession of a prohibited drug, and possession of an unauthorised prohibited firearm.

The court heard he was on bail for a similar offence in August last year.

Magistrate Denes adjourned his matters until June 5 at Lismore Local court.

A 22 year-old man was also arrested and charged over the 11 cannabis plants.

He was granted bail to appear at the Casino local court on June 20.
