THERE are only three days until Foodie Friday returns to the Murwillumbah Showgrounds but it's not just food on the menu.

A smorgasbord of entertainment from the Tweed shire will keep food enthusiasts entertained during the night under the stars at the Foodie Fest.

From 6pm the crowd will be delighted by singer Jayne Henry who promotes a fresh and unique sound.

"Her unmistakeable voice is likened by many to such vocalists as Tracy Chapman, Kd Lang, Toni Childs, Cher and Adele," Foodie Fest spokeswoman Lisa Flower said.

Crowds, which are expected to hit well over 1000, will also enjoy a trip back to the good times with Twin Towns Services Club performer Glenn Brace on stage.

The talented artist had performed with George Benson, Art Garfunkel, Dionne Warwick and Brian Cadd.

Traditional Irish and Scottish songs will be performed by Shameless Hooligans, a group of four Murwillumbah lads.

"Their aim is to get feet tapping, bodies dancing and everyone smiling," Ms Flower said.

If that isn't enough to keep you entertained one of Australia's finest award winning blues divas Lil' Fi and the Jolly Rogers.

On Friday Lil' Fi, one of the original roots music performers on the festival circuit today, will team up with some of the greatest jazz players in Australia.

Pianist Steve Russell, saxophonist Martha Baartz, drummer Pete Wilkins and bass guitarist Greg Lyons will all take to the stage to rock your socks off.

Ms Flower said Friday was a free event and only people wanting to book group tables were required to pay $50.

"Everyone is welcome and can bring a blanket and chairs to enjoy," she said.

"Some keen people even bring their own picnic tables.

"It will be a great and affordable family-friendly night."
