IT seems Evans Head is becoming a playground for the rich and famous.

After the sighting of Hollywood actress Hilary Swank, former Wallaby rugby player Joe Roff has been spotted having coffee at Evans Head Bakery.

Bakery owner Mick Aarts said Mr Roff dropped into the cafe in August.

"He came down with his wife and three children and had a macchiato and decided it was so good, he also had a short black," he said.

"They also ate at the bakery and went for a walk down to the beach."

After seeing dolphins and enjoying their relaxing time in town they told Mr Aarts that they couldn't wait to come back for more coffee.

Joe Roff played on the wing or as fullback for the Brumbies and Australia, playing five Tests as a centre in the early part of his Test career.

During his 10 years of playing Test rugby he amassed 86 Test caps and 244 points.
