Teen dies after car leaves road

A 17-YEAR-old man died after a crash at Tallebudgera on the southern Gold Coast this morning.

The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating the fatal crash that occurred about 6am on Goolabah Dr.

According to police, the man was the sole occupant of the car that left the road and rolled down an embankment stopping in a driveway.

The man had to be freed from the vehicle before being transported to Robina Hospital in a critical condition where he died a short time later.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information to offer about the incident is urged to contact police.
