THIS Christmas families will be able to visit Disneyland and take a walk down The Grande Parade from their own lounge room.

On the first anniversary of Kinect in Australia, Microsoft has announced its first game in collaboration with Disney, Kinect: Disneyland Adventures.

Harnessing the controller-free magic of Kinect for Xbox 360, Kinect: Disneyland Adventures allows children, families and Disney fans of all ages to explore the Disneyland park, step into adventures based on the attractions, engage in challenging quests and interact with beloved Disney characters using their full bodies and voices, no controller required.

A recent study by Microsoft revealed that more than one in three Australians (37%) is likely to be playing a video game this Christmas Day.

NSW residents are most likely to be gaming at Christmas with 41% of those polled intending to play a video game on the day, compared with 29% of Queenslanders.

Intended for players of all ages, Kinect: Disneyland Adventures is one of the biggest games ever published by Microsoft Studios, packed with nearly 100 hours of game play including 20 iconic attractions, over 40 beloved park characters and 100 challenging adventures.
