RUMOURS are circulating that Australian rockers Wolfmother will be performing at a special event for Joel Parkinson this weekend in Coolangatta.

Parkinson's sponsor Billabong will host a party for 1000 invited guests at Snapper Rocks this Saturday for the ASP world champion.

In 2007, when another Coolangatta kid, Mick Fanning, won the ASP world title his sponsor Rip Curl had a party at Kirra with Grinspoon headlining.

Snapper Rock will be converted into a live music venue this Saturday for the event.
