It is a Collector's item, a car that's constantly admired and I've had so many chats with people interested in it, in the 13 years I've had it, often daily, even 2 – 3 times in the same day – it's great!
But it is also a great investment, as the 450 SL convertibles continue to appreciate in value. It is original and unrestored, the highest valued and prized SL’s, with the rich maroon colour giving it an almost regal look – and the 4.5 litre V8 engine offers plenty of power for safe overtaking.
I checked the records when I bought it – a genuine 146,000 and now only 215,600 km – an average of just over 5000 km per year. Personally, I have only ever used it as a convertible, enjoying every moment of it, but the hardtop is on it now, for you to decide upon.
Service history from day one! It runs beautifully and I've been very fortunate, having had a car enthusiast mechanic look after it the whole time and all receipts for servicing are available – and most importantly, the original logbook!
