MORE than 100 asylum seekers arrived in Australian in the past three days while four Sri Lankan men left Nauru to return home last week.
Statements from the Department of Immigration and Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare revealed 114 asylum seekers arrived during Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The new arrivals were intercepted by Border Protection in Australian waters near Christmas, Ashmore and the Cocos Islands.
All were, or will be, transferred to Christmas Island for immigration processing, and could be sent to Nauru or Manus Island.
Meanwhile, the department revealed on Monday the eight Sri Lankan men returned home on Friday.
Those eight men bring the total to 29 Sri Lankan men who chose not to remain in Nauru for offshore immigration processing.
