15-year-olds charged after boy stabbed on the Gold Coast

TWO 15-year-old boys have been charged following the alleged stabbing of another boy at Miami on the Gold Coast.

A 15-year-old boy from Mermaid Waters has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and armed robbery and another 15-year-old boy from Miami has been charged with one count of armed robbery.

Police will allege the two boys went to Hillcrest Parade and became involved in a verbal altercation with another 15-year-old boy.

The fight escalated and resulted in the boy receiving a single knife wound to his abdomen.

The 15-year-old boy was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The two boys who were charged will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
