4 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND...
1. TWEED BALL
TWEED Ball Series continues tonight with the second last ball being held at Uki. This is a great family night out with dancing starting at 8pm and the judging commencing at 9pm. Dancing includes old-time, new vogue, a bracket of rock ‘n’ roll and with some line dancing thrown in. Tickets available at the door which includes supper, no alcohol. All welcome for a family evening of social dance and meeting people.
2. DESIGNER HEAVEN
GOLD Coast Design Collective Market is on today from 9am–2pm at Coolangatta State School, Stapylton St, Coolangatta. Celebrate amazing handmade designers, vintage and retro fashion and delicious street food vendors. Live music. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a fun, free day out.
3. TWO KINSMEN
NOT since 2002 when The Four Kinsmen performed their sold out farewell tour around Australia has there been a rival act... until now. Two members of the group George Harvey and Robert Pearson will carry on the tradition of vocals, comedy, magic impressions and high energy dancing at Coolangatta Surf Club tonight from 8pm. Tickets at reception.
4. WHALE SPOTTING
WHALES are on the move with some great vantage points on the Tweed to watch these amazing mammals on their annual migration up the coast. Head to Point Danger, Hastings Headland or Fingal Headland to catch a glimpse of a breech or tail slap, while enjoying the winter sunshine.
