Franklin keen to stay at Hawthorne

LANCE Franklin wants to stay at Hawthorn after his contract expires at the end of the season.

Speaking at the launch of the 'Buddy Boot' yesterday, the four-time All-Australian, reportedly in the sights of GWS, re-iterated that he would make a decision on his future after the season.

"I want to stay at Hawthorn. I love the football club; they've been great for me for nearly nine years, so that's where it stands at the moment," he said.

The comments came a day after champion midfielder Gary Ablett said he wanted to stay with the Gold Coast Suns after his contract expired at the end of 2015.
