Hunt on for man accused of stabbing at Five Dock

POLICE are hunting a man who stabbed a man several times at inner-western Sydney suburb Five Dock on Saturday night.

The attacker was still on the loose yesterday, with police launching a public appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Police were called to an industrial complex at Queens Rd shortly before 9pm after receiving reports of an assault.

They arrived to find a man, aged in his 40s, with multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics treated him at the scene and took him to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition.

Police said their initial inquiries suggested the injured man was involved in an argument, which escalated into a stabbing before the other man fled the scene.

Specialist forensic officers set up a crime scene at the site yesterday.
