AN unbeaten 143 off 210 balls by skipper Brendon McCullum  helped New Zealand reach 4/329 on day one of the first Test against India at Eden Park in Auckland yesterday.

Kane Williamson, coming off five consecutive half-centuries in one-day matches, made 113 off 172 balls.
