A fast go for wind smoke

GREYHOUNDS are on again at Border Park Raceway track this afternoon.

A nine-race program is set down which includes the final of the Novice 1-4, race six the best race on the day.

Looking at the final, I like Wind Smoke for Robert Peschke to win as this dog ran the fastest time last week in its first look at the track.

If it can repeat, it will win again from Hut Jazz and Make A Stand.

In race one, I like Elaines Magic to break it duck of wins and with 20 starts for eight places, so today it should be one win as well.

Race two should see Super Cruise, from the number one box, to beat Revel In and Mooball Enforcer, while in race three, a Maiden 520m run, I like Marie Reltub from Just Wannabee and Lady Senna.

Race four is a fifth grade 520m and Massive Tide should claim the money over Cheer for Gold and Pretty Karanne.

In race five, Patritic Boy should make it two wins at this track from Another Dream and Alfinator and in race seven, the Best Eight on the day, it is Silver Shari favoured to win again from Imagine Roger and Karanne Star.

In race eight, I will go with Run Limmo Run over Our Solver and Aussie Larger and the last race which is called the Farewell Jack and Gloria Stakes.

The race is the track's way of saying goodbye to two of the long time staff people from the track - Jack (who works at the starting boxes) has been here for some 19 years and Gloria (who works at the gate) has been here 17 years.

On behalf of the staff at Border Park, all the best to you both, stay safe and all our thanks for the smiles every Saturday, Gloria.

Now for race nine, I will go with Turrmurra Park out of the number one box.

This greyhound loves the inside draw so I will stick with him from Lucy's Image and On Display.

Full on-course and interstate betting facilities are available on course in the club's undercover auditorium and the first local race will jump at 1.15pm.

Gates will open at 11am so be on course to watch the live action and bet with Bruce Kerrie and Lloyd.
