Piece of Italy on the Coast

A LITTLE Italian restaurant that is big on Australia opened in

Surfers Paradise recently.

International brand Vapiano opened its new Soul complex, Cavill Avenue, restaurant on December 16 with the aim of bringing a fresh and casual approach to Gold Coast dining.

Vapiano Australia director and Gold Coast product Will Cooke said he brought the European concept to Australia in 2009 with the opening of its first Brisbane restaurant.

“My wife and I discovered Vapiano in Stockholm and immediately loved the concept. We knew it was something truly special,” Mr Cooke said.

Vapiano has tailored its Italo-Australian style to the unique Gold Coast dining culture by creating traditional Italian recipes using only the best local meat, produce and cheese.

“When we say local, we mean

local,” Mr Cooke said.

Vapiano Surfers Paradise opens from 11am to 11pm from Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
