Man's privates caught in tool

FIREFIGHTERS have come to the rescue of a man who became a bit too intimate with his tools.

Fire and Rescue crews were called to the Tweed Hospital emergency department shortly before 8pm on Monday night, after a man presented with his penis stuck in a spanner.

They required bolt cutters to release the man's appendage from the tool.

"We needed a steady hand for this one!" FRNSW 468 Tweed Heads Fire Station wrote on Facebook.

It's understood this is not an uncommon incident for emergency services to be faced with.
