A taste of the '60s at park
IT'S the time for Hippy Free Love - well it will be in the last race at Border Park today, a fourth and fifth grade over 520m.
She ran poorly last week, but from the inside Hippy Free Love should jump better and get on the bunny so we see her at her best. She's likely to be followed by Oxley County and Compassionate.
The feature race will be the final of the 5th Grade over 420m, Race 7, and Diamonds Amore looks to have the pace over Midnight Grace and Life Raft for third.
The travel will play off for Grafton's John Corrigan with Who Bit Bluey in heat one of the Maiden, Race 1, over Thournton Addis and Surfer Richie.
In Race 2, which is heat two, Joanne Price's Suzie Be Good will be too good for Solo Adios and Amber We Know.
Race 3 is the maiden final and you can't go past Shiraz Keroma after it ran the best time for the day last week in its heat.
Race 4 this week is the Best 8 over 420m and you'll need to keep an eye on the inside lot to fill the places, but in which order? Try Beat Goes On over Pretty Kinfsbrae and Wild Eclipse.
Race 5, which is heat one of the Tweed Heads to Casino series, looks likely to go to Rapid Puzzle over Kooringa Baz and Why for third.
Race 6 is heat two of the series and this should see India Star come out in front of Jim Adios and Woodview Lass.
Race 8 is heat three, with Saucey Mary to get the better of Giggling Marlin and Kee.
Race 9 is a 5th Grade race for the greyhounds which could not run in the heats of the Tweed to Casino.
These greyhounds have won a graded race at a TAB track or have had more than four wins, and Tizza Flyer for Glenda Dart is likely to do just that, followed by Run Limmo Run and Dan Patch.
The Border Park board has not yet met to address the new prizemoney for the next meeting at the raceway, but I will keep trainers, owners and punters advised as soon as I know anything.
