ACCC decision on taxi app delayed

THE taxi industry will have to wait until next year to learn the fate of a cross-company app designed to combat Uber.

Last month the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission planned to block the iHail taxi booking app.

It announced on Tuesday it would not decide on whether the app was anti-competitive until February.
