Man pleads guilty to Michael McGurk's murder

A MAN accused of taking part in the contract killing of Sydney businessman Michael McGurk has pleaded guilty to murder and agreed to give evidence against his high profile co-accused.

Haissam Safetli, 47 entered the plea in the NSW Supreme Court on Tuesday along with admitting to stalking and intimidating the late millionaire's widow Kimberley.

The court heard Safetli had tried to organise another hitman for McGurk's murder before the 45-year-old was shot dead in a city street.

The Herald reported Safetli had agreed to give evidence against property Tycoon Ron Medich and Christopher Estephan, who have both maintained their innocence.

He will front court for a sentencing hearing on Friday.
