Adopt-a-Family 2009

WITH Christmas just around the corner, there’s never been a better time to share the Christmas spirit and help a Tweed family in need.

Every year the Tweed Daily News Adopt-A-Family for Christmas appeal makes a real difference to the lives of people in our community.

Hundreds of selfless and compassionate people share their Christmas spirit by adopting a family.

Nominated by local charities, the families seeking adoption face serious financial hardships or social dislocation.

The Adopt-A-Family appeal encourages individuals, businesses, clubs, schools, families and workplaces to spread some Christmas spirit to those families in crisis this Christmas.

Once again, the Adopt-A-Family Appeal is honoured to have Shane Webcke, former Brisbane Bronco, Queensland Origin and Kangaroo great as our Adopt-A-Family patron for 2009.

Shane believes passionately in a 'fair go' for all and the importance of lending a hand to someone who may never be in a position to return the favour.

You can make a real difference this Christmas by adopting a family or an individual.

Your reward is knowing that your generosity will help a family in need this Christmas.

All of our families have now been adopted. Tweed Daily News would like to thank the local community for all their support in making Adopt-A-Family such a success again this year.
