Airport open, but wind forces diversions and cancellations
IT'S still business as usual at Gold Coast Airport despite severe weather warnings.
The Coolangatta-based airport issued a statement this morning advising that while they are open, they were experiencing some diversions and cancellations as a result of heavy winds.
"Gold Coast Airport advise all people intending to travel today to contact their airline direct for up-to-date information on the status of their flight," the statement read.
